When to harvest: The hormone blend seed varieties grow at different rates from each other, and you will know the tray is ready to harvest once the mung bean seeds (the tallest seeds) reach just below the lights.

Yes, the trays are made of a compostable material that will break down in your backyard compost.
Where is the Instafarm soil sourced?
Our soil is sourced from Amish Country in Pennsylvania, free of added chemicals, herbicides, and pesticides.
Are the trays reusable?
The Instafarm trays are designed to work optimally for one-time use. Generally, they will not hold up for more than one growth because the trays are compostable. However, some of the root masses can be transplanted in a garden or pot to regrow as baby or full-grown greens, or used as an added boost to backyard compost!
Can I cancel the subscription anytime?
Yes. The subscription is commitment-free, allowing you to adjust your tray preferences and amounts, skip a month, pause, or cancel at any time.
